WFCO WF-8955-AD-MBA (Auto-Detect main board): 12 V specs and what it works with

The WFCO WF-8955-AD-MBA (Auto-Detect main board) says it detects the battery type automatically and is rated 50 A maker spec. It passes both our lithium-mode and current checks with 9 of 12 batteries we list (one battery each) calculated. Data updated .

Which lithium batteries it can charge

“Works, tight” means the converter has a lithium mode but one of the makers publishes no voltage to compare, so check both manuals. “No” on the lithium-mode check means the maker lists no LiFePO4 mode; a converter without one is not a lithium charger. How the checks work: converter lithium profile.

Notes on the sources

Replacement main board for WF-8900 series power centers. Output current is the third pair (WF-8955-AD-MBA) of the quoted row: 55 A lead-acid, 50 A lithium. WFCO says the board picks the profile itself; it has no manual lithium switch.

In the maker's words

“the charging requirement can be “detected” and is then automatically set for the type of battery being used.” (auto detect quote; source)
