Will my RV converter charge a lithium battery?

Only if its maker lists a lithium (LiFePO4) charging mode. 7 of the 12 RV converters we list do; the rest list lead-acid profiles only maker spec. A lithium mode also has to charge at a voltage inside your battery maker's published range. Data updated .

“Passing” counts “works” and “works, tight” on both the lithium-mode check and the charge-current check, one battery each calculated. Tight usually means one maker publishes no voltage to compare; read both manuals.

How to read it

  • Find your converter's exact model on its label; similar model numbers can differ in lithium support.
  • No lithium mode listed: the maker doesn't present it as a lithium charger. Makers that do offer one are in the table above.
  • Changing a converter, board or setting is a job for the maker's instructions and a qualified RV technician; see safety.

The check itself: converter lithium profile. Try your own converter and battery in the planner.
